Activating spaces for active communities

Mobilise is piloting a new approach to help communities make the most of their spaces, tapping local talent to provide the activities people want to see in their neighbourhood.

We’re creating a platform that will make it easier to put on activities in community halls and other spaces, giving people an opportunity to use their skills to become micro-entrepreneurs, running exercise sessions, homework clubs or cooking classes for their neighbours.

Our platform will let communities respond to their own needs directly, creating increased self-reliance. At the same time, the decentralized framework prevents facilities being dominated by one group at the expense of others.

We believe there is huge potential for this platform to connect people around shared interests and bring under-used spaces to life. To find out more, read our blog.
