Mobilise helped Richmond Council for Voluntary Service, a third-sector infrastructure organisation, develop strategic priorities for their future at a challenging time. In particular, we sought to clarify RCVS’s role in the sector and the nature of its relationship with Richmond Borough Council, as well as understanding what products and services to prioritise and how RCVS could market these and communicate its impact. We spoke to a wide range of stakeholders, including representatives of the Council, the CCG, the local college, a neighbouring CVS, funding organisations and over 20 local charities. This helped us to develop an in-depth understanding of RCVS’s position, strengths and areas to be developed. We then brought the organisation’s staff and trustees together for the first time at an away day, to agree a shared vision for the organisation and create a plan for the future informed by our findings.
